Jorge De la Roca is an Associate Professor at the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California (USC), where he also serves as the Research Director at the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate. Additionally, he co-directs the LAUrban network, part of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA) focused on urban economics.
His research interests lie in urban economics, labor economics, and economic geography. He is an editor of the Journal of Economic Geography. Jorge's work primarily explores agglomeration economies, urban inequality, skill sorting, and urban migration patterns across different city sizes. He is also deeply involved in studying the effects and mechanisms of racial residential segregation on minority communities.
