Anti-Racism Working Group Presents: Lanier v. Harvard

Who Owns Images of Slavery?

You're cordially invited to a community discussion on the Lanier v. Harvard case. Hear from Mark Marderosian, counsel in FreeRenty!, the first civil dispute in our country's history wherein the descendant of an African enslaved person in the antebellum American South seeks repatriation of physical property, a historically significant photograph of her enslaved ancestor.

Q&A led by Dean Franita Tolson and Professor Rebecca Brown
