EASC Guest Speaker Series: Leo Ching and Li-Ping Chen

Leo T.S. Ching is a professor of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Duke University. His research areas include colonial discourse studies, postcolonial theory, Japanese mass culture, and theories of globalization and regionalism. His recent book looks at the historical, philosophical, and cultural ramifications of Japanese imperialism and colonialism, focusing on the process of decolonization in mainland China, South Korea and Taiwan
