DESCRIPTION:The sudden incursion of Generative AI into the university has u
 pended long-standing pedagogical practices. At the same time\, students ha
 ve adopted the technology with unprecedented speed. How will the academic 
 community adapt? What can humanities-centered inquiry contribute to the co
 nversation?  \n\n \n\nJoin us for creative and critical discussions of way
 s to respond to the arrival of AI into our daily university life.  We will
  discuss pedagogical approaches for deterrence\, inclusion\, and adaptatio
 n in this new technological moment.  We will also discuss the development 
 of university programs that address AI in terms of ethics\, creative poten
 tial\, environmental and social impacts\, and surveillance. We encourage t
 he participation of faculty\, staff\, and students from Humanities\, Socia
 l Science\, Science and Technology Studies\, and Engineering.\n\n \n\n \n\
