Sharon’s presentation will include attention to the impact of using common tools such as stories, photographs and data in health care to truly understand people and the ways they live their lives. Sharon’s research indicates that we are uniquely privileged in this day and age to have access to this broad range of information making it critical that we utilize the corresponding results. Sharon will provide first-hand experience, while sharing how some of the learnings implemented at the School of Public Health, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and offering a new template for undertaking work with underserved populations whether locally or globally.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
