The USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Institute is co-sponsoring this research conference organized by the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens. The convener of "Abortion in American History: Intimate Decisions, Medical Knowledge, and Legal Decrees in the Two Centuries before Roe v. Wade" is Patricia Cline Cohen, Professor Emerita of History at University of California, Santa Barbara.
