About this Event
Where do we get this morbid sense of humor,
this famously outsized notion of Jewish guilt?
Why do we take responsibility for the disasters that befall us? Join Professor Ari Hagler (History-Troy University), Professor Jessica Marglin (Religion, History and Law-USC) and Professor Reuven Firestone (Medieval Judaism and Islam-Hebrew Union College) for a lively discussion on the biblical origins of self-blame in the ancient world and how this "guilt" is directly tied to our concept of G-d.
This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
