Free EventJoin the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future virtually for a moderated discussion with students from Addisu Demissie’s Fellows Study Group and U.S. Senator Cory Booker. This conversation will take place on Wednesday, November 8 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. PT. Senator Booker and the students will discuss current events and debrief the documentary, Street Fight, a film about the 2002 mayoral race in Newark, New Jersey. It is available to rent on Amazon Prime or on YouTube if you would like to watch before the discussion.

Cory Booker currently represents the state of New Jersey in the United States Senate, the first African-American to do so. A member of the Democratic Party, Mr. Booker has served since 2013. Previously, he was the mayor of Newark, New Jersey.
