Cofer Black had a 28-year career with the CIA’s Directorate of Operations. He was director of the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center (CTC) from 1992-2002. He briefed President George W. Bush on September 12, 2001. Ambassador Black graduated from USC with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in international relations before beginning his CIA career. In this conversation he discusses his career, counterterrorism, and the future of the intelligence community.
