DESCRIPTION:
USC Kaufman School of Dance alum Hayden Rivas is the dance captain and male swing for Center Theatre Group's current production of Here Lies Love, currently playing at the Mark Taper Forum. In conjunction with our Experience L.A. trip to see the show, Rivas will lead participants through Here Lies Love's dynamic original choreography by William Carlos Angulo. Beyond the steps, participants will learn about the creative process behind mounting a professional theatre production, the responsibilities of a Swing and Dance Captain, and what it means to be part of the first production of Here Lies Love post-Broadway.

All levels of experience are welcome.

Hayden Rivas is excited to be back in Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Southern California with both a BFA in Dance and Master's in Studies in Law with a Media and Entertainment Law Certificate. He is currently the Dance Captain and Male Swing in Here Lies Love at the Mark Taper Forum. His Film/TV projects include: Disney's Descendants 3, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and So You Think You Can Dance. Select theatre credits include: Beetlejuice abovard the Norwegian Viva and Frozen at North Shore Music theatre.
