Join us for an insightful conversation with veteran journalist and current Chief Communications Officer of Zurich Insurance, Alessio Vinci. Hosted in collaboration between the journalism and global media & communication programs, the conversation will be moderated by current students, Alicia Alvarez (MS in Journalism, 2025) and Polina Tsurikova (MA, Global Media and Communication, 2025).

Vinci is the group chief communications officer at Zurich Insurance Group. He joined the company in March 2019, bringing a broad base of international experience in journalism, media, and corporate communications, most recently from Alitalia and Telecom Italia. Prior to that, Alessio was a mainstream television anchor and talk show host in Italy. He started his journalism career in 1989 at CNN, where he worked as assignment editor, correspondent, and bureau chief, reporting from the front lines of many war zones, including Afghanistan and Iraq, after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. An award-winning journalist, he has also covered events surrounding the dramatic shifts in the political, economic, and social landscape following the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union.
