DESCRIPTION:It was not easy for the more than 52\,000 Holocaust survivors a
nd witnesses in our Visual History Archive to tell their stories. But they
did it\, because they understood the importance of preserving these painf
ul memories for future generations. \n\nWe are those future generations\,
and it is our turn to carry their stories and their messages of strength a
nd resilience forward. \n\nWe are partnering with Zikaron BaSalon (transla
tes to "Memory in the Living Room")\, an Israel-based program with a simpl
e\, grassroots approach: Zikaron BaSalon provides people with a kit to hos
t a gathering\, in person or virtual\, centered around survivor stories to
commemorate Yom HaShoah or Holocaust Remembrance Day. These gatherings ar
e referred to as “salons.” Over the last 10 years\, Zikaron BaSalon ha
 s reached more than 1.5 million participants.\n\nUntil now\, most salons h
ave been led by Survivors\, or their descendants\, telling their stories.
Our new partnership\, “Bringing Testimony Home\,” introduces a hosting
  kit (available in English\, Spanish\, and Hebrew)\, which includes:\n\nA
 testimony edited into a 30- to 45-minute narrative\n\nEducational material
for context\n\nPrompts for discussion\n\nFor Zikaron BaSalon\, the partne
rship means that salon hosts will be empowered to carry on the responsibil
ity of remembering well beyond the years when survivors can speak in perso
 n. For us\, this collaboration represents an entirely new way of bringing
testimony into people’s lives.\n\nHow Zikaron BaSalon works:\n\nYou invi
te friends and family to a gathering to comemmorate Yom HaShoah or Interna
tional Holocaust Remembrance Day. \n\nWe provide you with a hosting kit in
 cluding a curated testimony\, educational material\, discussion prompts\,
and hosting tips.\n\nFeaturing:\n\nDr. Edith Eger\, Holocaust Survivor (te
stimony featured for partnership)\; Psychologist (specializing in Post-Tra
 umatic Stress Disorder)\; author\; public speaker\n\nDov Forman\, 4G\; You
