An evening where new cinematic arts informs and inspires scientific discovery.
We will feature the presentations of two short films created by students in the Bridge Institute's 2017 Bridge UnderGraduate Science (BUGS) program.
Symphony of Sight is an inspired animation about the Hyper Spectral Phasor – advanced imaging technology developed by researchers here at USC.
To Take a Tomogram is a poetic visualization of the scientific method of tomography – a process where destruction leads to revelation.
The later portion of the evening will feature the documentary Target Zero. The film focuses on the scientific, medical, and social aspects of HIV treatment and prevention. Through true to life stories, vivid molecular animations illustrate many of the pints made in the film.
After the viewings, the audience will have the opportunity to interact with the filmmakers, producers, and directors in a Q&A panel forum.
