Reitaku University (Japan), Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany), LA Metro, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), and the University of Southern California (USC) host the 6th Annual Humanitarian Mapathon.
Join us to contribute to the OpenStreetMap platform in a friendly competition to support humanitarian projects focused on the environment, sustainability, and community development through open mapping.
Everybody is welcome to attend, whether you have any mapping experience or not. Training will be provided both in-person and remotely to ensure that you are able to participate and contribute to humanitarian causes around the world. This is planned to be a three-day event that will include keynote speakers, student lightning talks, prizes, donuts, and more.
This event will be held during Earth Week 2023, with a special focus to provide map data that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. With Reitaku University’s participation, 2023 marks the first year this event becomes international!
