About Micro-Seminars: Micro-Seminars are open to incoming first-year students during Welcome Week. The purpose of the micro-seminars is to introduce students to new subject matter in a field of interest to both them and the participating faculty member and to promote discussions between students and faculty in an informal, small-group setting before the official start of classes. Micro-Seminars are limited to twenty students. They are not graded and do not carry course credit.
