La Posada: Celebrating Latin American Holiday Traditions & Giving Back (Toy Drive for United University Church Peace Kids/Youth)

6:00 PM Arrive at United University Church (Drop off unwrapped toys at Boxes outside before entering OR M 11/26-F 11/30 Drop Off at El Centro, STU 402, 4th Floor)

6:30 PM at the United University Church (UUC) 
--Keynote Speaker TBA
--Special Performances/Presentations by our special interest residential theme program the Latino Floor, Peace Kids & by USC Students

7:30 PM Candlelit Procession led by Live Music with Latin-Grammy nominated Trio Ellas, "Jesus & Mary" from the Latino Floor & USC Student Singers, Steps of UUC

8:30 PM - 9:00 PM Reception with Pan Dulce & Champurrado feat. Trio Ellas 

Finally, please bring an Unwrapped Toy (for ages 1-18)
for our Toy Drive for low-income local Youth of the United University Church: http://www.uuc-la.org/about-us.html (a long time partner of ours). Locations to drop off Toys: 1) El Centro Chicano, Student Union Suite 402 (Open M-F 9am-5pm, call 213.740.1480 for more info) & 2) directly at the United University Church, 817 W 34th St, Los Angeles, CA 90089 (for more info call 213.748.0209). So you can drop it off at these locations or they can be dropped off the day of the event too, we will have boxes outside the United University Church the day of La Posada. 

Lastly, we want to thank all are partners including the United University Church, the Peace Center, the Latinx Student Assembly, the Latino Floor, the Latino Parents Association (LPA), the Department of Public & Safety (DPS) at USC, the USC Latina/o Graduate Student Association (LGSA) & the USC Latino Business Student Association (LBSA). And we encourage other club/orgs, departments, faculty & staff, alumni, parents & community members to join us at La Posada & help us with our Toy Drive!
