Global Engagement
The minds we educate must be prepared to participate as citizens of the world, to understand great global challenges and contribute toward long term understanding and solutions. Every student who earns a USC education represents the potential for positive global change, and our entire university ecosystem must orient toward giving each student the highest chance of success. We want our students to consider their education in the context of problems that they want to contribute to solving in the 21st century. From that framework, we as a scholarly community can build the environment that will encourage and inspire students to fully develop their capabilities. As the world becomes ever more interconnected, USC’s vision must include breaking down traditional barriers: to train leaders who seed change around the world, and to create new programs that help students have an impact in the world.
