Academic Honors and Fellowships
USC Academic Honors and Fellowships educates the USC community about university awards and external fellowships, and mentors motivated students and recent alumni in their pursuit of these opportunities. We support Trustee, Presidential, Mork Family and Stamps Scholars in the promotion of a vibrant Scholar community.
American Language Institute
Since 1959, the American Language Institute (ALI) has been providing English language instruction, assessment, and resources to support the academic and professional success of non-native speakers of English pursuing degrees at USC. The ALI offers English language courses for those students who want to improve their English as well as those who are required to take classes as a result of taking the International Student English (ISE) Exam. The ALI is also responsible for testing and providing English language instruction for the university’s international teaching assistants.
American Studies and Ethnicity
A multi-disciplinary department that investigates problems of race, immigration, urban geography, culture, power, gender, sexuality and social justice.

USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership & Policy (CCLP) unites visionary ideals with impactful scholarship and practical applications.
Anthropology
Best known for its pioneering role in visual anthropology, USC's Anthropology Department has strong research programs in all four fields of the discipline (i.e., Archaeology, Socio-cultural Anthropology, Linguistics, and Physical Anthropology).
