eMouseAtlas develops tools and resources that enable high-end visualization of embryo data in the context of a web browser. These resources include a 3D anatomical atlas, a digital version of the Kaufman histology atlas, and the EMAGE database with over 30,000 gene expression patterns. Using in-house developed 3D mapping technology, I showcase how web technolgoy can be used to enable co-visualization of 3D mapped gene expression patterns. Furthermore, using Wnt signaling pathway genes as an example, I demonstrate how computational measures of co-expression can be used to highlight putative signaling centers in the mid-gestation mouse embryo.
