Join students from the Sol Price School of Public Policy’s Media for Policy Change course to explore how journalism and media can drive social change in the areas of juvenile justice, child welfare and immigration.
Remarks will be provided by Media for Policy Change student journalists and experts in the field.
Students will dive into their work over the semester, through which they learned how to produce solution-based journalism to drive social change around some of the most pressing policy issues facing Los Angeles County and the nation. Students focused on “soft spots” in public policy, where journalism can be used as a tool to raise awareness and drive reform.
Please join these students as they present their findings in a series of brief, impactful panel discussions.
Doors open at 3:45 pm. Program begins at 4:00pm. Light refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you there!
