Leading scholars in the fields of Religious Studies and History will discuss a new book manuscript by Lori Meeks, Associate Professor of Religion, entitled Bloody Hell: The Problem of Women’s Salvation in Late Medieval and Early Modern Japan. Discussants include Barbara R. Ambros, Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Amy Stanley, Associate Professor of History at Northwestern University.

Faculty and graduate students from USC and the community are welcome to attend. Attendees must read the entire manuscript and actively participate in the professional development review seminar. A copy of the manuscript will be provided after we receive your RSVP.
