Abstract:
Data science is still an emerging field, which requires a broad set of skills, including a strong mathematical background. Volume, variety and velocity of data being generated makes for an environment where companies are drowning in data but starving for information. I intend to talk about possible roadmaps from academia and more specifically mathematics, to data science, including my personal journey.
